Bumthang Bhutan

Bumthang District is one of the 20 dzongkhag comprising Bhutan. It is the most historic dzongkhag if the number of ancient temples and sacred sites is counted. Bumthang consists of the four mountain valleys of Ura, Chumey, Tang and Choekhor although occasionally the entire district is referred to as Bumthang valley.Bumthang directly translates as "beautiful field" – thang means field or flat place, and bum is said be an abbreviation of either bumpa or simply bum. The name is said to have arisen after construction of Jambay Lhakhang.

Burning Lake

A Lake In Bhumthang, The Tourist Attraction Called Burning Lake Is Also Known As Mebar Tsho. It Is Located On The Way To Tang Village Under Bhumthang Valley. Mebar Tsho Or Burning Lake Is The Most Sacred And Religious Place To Visit In Bhutan As It Is Mostly Thrived With Super Natural Power And Spritituality.A Buddhist Saint Called Terton Pema Lingpa Is Believed To Have Jumped Into The Lake With A Burning Lamp In His Hand In Order To Make The King And The Local People Believe On His Dream Showned By Guru Rinpoche About The Hidden Treasure. With The Success, The Lake Was Named As Mebar Tsho Or Burning Lake.

Kurjey Lhakhang

Kurjey Lhakhang Also Known As Kurjey Monastery Situated In Bhumthang Valley Is The Final Resting Place Of The Remains Of The First Three Kings Of Bhutan. It Is Made Up Of Three Building Facing South Surrounded By An Enclosure Made Of 108 Chortens. Kurjey Lhakhang Is The Place Where Guru Rinpoche Meditated. The Lhakhang Is Very Important Place Of Pilgrimage For The Buddhist Of All Over The World. Trongsa Monastic Community Is The Caretaker Of The Lhakhang.

Bhumthang Brewery

Bhumthang Brewery Is Famous For Producing One Of The Bhutan’s Tastiest Beer, Red Pand Weissbier. The Brewery Was Set Up Two Decades Ago And It Uses German Equipment, Indian Barley And Spring Water From Bhumthang To Produce Its Famous N Tastiest Signature Brew. The Founder Of Bhumthang Brewery And Cheese Shop Was Swiss Migrant Fritz Maurer And Now It Is Run By His Son.
